Call centre agent CV example
Call centres hire a lot of people and shortlist fast. Here's how to show you can hit the numbers, whether you're in sales, service or collections.
The numbers call centres care about
Team leaders live by their dashboards. If you've worked in a contact centre, put your numbers on your CV, in their language:
- Sales or conversion rate
- % of target or sales per day
- Quality (QA) score
- Customer satisfaction (CSAT)
- Average handle time (AHT)
- First-call resolution
- Calls per day
- Collections % (PTPs kept)
- Attendance and adherence
Example: outbound sales agent

Build my sales CVNo call centre experience yet?
- Lead with what they hire for: clear speaking, languages, patience, typing speed and computer skills.
- Use numbers from other jobs: customers served per shift in retail, tips or ratings as a waitron, targets in a promotions job.
- List your languages properly (speak / read / write). Many South African centres pay attention to this.
- Add matric and any courses, including free online ones in customer service or sales.
- Be available: say if you can work shifts, weekends or public holidays.
Watch out for scams. A real call centre won't ask you to pay for training, a headset or "registration". Read the scam section in our job search toolkit.
Questions people ask
- What skills should I put on a call centre CV?
- Communication, languages, computer and typing skills, handling objections, product knowledge, working to targets, and the systems you've used (CRM, dialler, ticketing).
- What is AHT on a call centre CV?
- Average handle time: how long a call takes on average, including after-call work. Show it next to quality, so it's clear you're fast and accurate.

- Most South African call centres ask for matric (Grade 12). Some take people without it, especially for learnerships. Check each advert.
