Sales achievements for your CV: 60 examples by industry
Copy the pattern, not the numbers. Each line below follows the same formula: what you did, a number, and over what time.

The formula
Action + number + time frame (+ how, if there's room).
"Grew my territory's monthly sales from R480,000 to R710,000 in two years by opening 30 new independent outlets."
Use the numbers you can prove: % of target, Rand value, units, rankings, growth, new accounts, retention, conversion, awards. If you don't have exact figures, use honest ranges ("top 3 of 12 reps") and be ready to explain them in the interview.

Build my sales CVWhere to find your numbers
- Monthly sales reports, commission statements and incentive letters.
- Rankings or league tables your manager sent out.
- Award certificates and performance reviews.
- Your CRM or dialler reports, if you still have access.
- Ask a former manager: "What was my % of target last year?"
Don't share confidential customer names or company figures your employer wouldn't want public. Percentages and rankings are usually safe.
Questions people ask
- How many achievements should I put on my CV?
- 3 to 5 in a "career highlights" section at the top, then 3 to 5 under each recent job. Older jobs need only one or two.
- What if I don't have any sales numbers?
- Use what you can count: customers served per day, upsells, targets in a promotions or call-centre job, rankings, awards or praise in performance reviews.
- Should I use Rand values or percentages?
- Both work. Percentages of target are easy to compare and safer if the Rand figures are confidential.
